With The Queen expected to make her 50th visit to Chelsea Flower Show on the 19th May, the world-famous event is welcoming 161,000 guests. Whether you are joining the annual extravaganza to see the daffodil named after the little Prince George or exploring Gucci's garden based on its signature floral print, you can immerse yourself into Chelsea Flower Show atmosphere with 'Le Tea en Rose' at Sofitel St James off Piccadilly Circus.  RoseTea1

Served daily throughout May in the gorgeous surroundings of The Rose Lounge, a discreet space with a touch of Parisian elegance in the midst of the busy London, Le Tea en Rose is probably the most elegant afternoon tea experience you will have in London. Blossoming with the rich palette of pink - the interior features plush pink sofas, rose embellished cushions, flower paintings and vases with gorgeous rose bouquets - The Rose Lounge is the hotel's own secret garden, with live harp performance, which is perfect for an afternoon tea getaway.

Start your Le Tea en Rose gourmet adventure with a glass of Moët & Chandon Imperial with a rose petal in it while you are waiting for the delicious finger sandwiches and freshly-baked homemade scones served warm with Devonshire clotted cream, rose scented raspberry cream and lemon curd to arrive.

Alternatively, go for a signature cocktail, a true masterpiece by Head Bartender Emilio MoscatiLe Vie en Rose. A tribute to the well-known Edith Piaf song and the quintessential British rose, the drink combines Tanqueray gin, elderflower syrup, and the fresh flavours of cucumber and lemon, topped up with rosé champagne and finished with delicate rose petals. The cocktail - which I am definitely coming back for - will get your tastebuds ready for a series of floral themed pastries designed exclusively by the Head Chef Vincent Menager.

Expect severe decision-making anxiety to kick in when you have to choose two of the three signature pastries. Chocolate dacquoise, jasmine flower mousse and raspberry macaroon; Elderflower jelly, lemon cheesecake crumble and Swiss meringue; and White chocolate tartlet with a rose crème Chiboust. These Parisian pastries will accompany a range of specialist teas, including Mediterranean rose, an uplifting blend of roses from Provence and Morocco; and Italian camomile.
